Sir Ken Robinson was interviewed on site at the event by Samantha Shanker of Ladue High School. Samantha and her fellow Ladue students worked with SchoolTube.com and Dave Cornelius of the Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication to capture multimedia coverage of the Convention.

ACTE members can also watch part of Sir Ken's keynote.

We begin with Saturday General Session Speaker Eric Chester, expert on post-Generation Xer's and a former CTE teacher, who gives us a preview of his presentation focusing on youth and work ethic. Then Friday General Session Speaker Ray McNulty, president of the International Center for Leadership in Education, previews his address on educators leading innovation through next practices (listen at 6:40).

You can also get a taste of the Opening General Session with Sir Ken Robinson by watching an animated version of a presentation he gave on education reform.

After each General Session, the speakers will be signing books, including a special Convention release of Chester's new title Reviving Work Ethic, ahead of the general release.

October 17 is the deadline to register at discounted rates for the ACTE Annual Convention and Career Tech Expo in St. Louis, November 17-19. The Practitioners-in-Residence program brings CTE educators to National ACTE headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia, to work on projects that benefit both their own development and the CTE community as a whole. Linda and Coleen talk about being ACTE's first Practitioners-in-Residence, the projects they are working on and how they hope to help CTE.
